A mini Ulysses ride today (although clearly not a Branch sanctioned ride) with 5 of us appropriately distanced. Roger Foot (BMW K1300 S), Shane Dwyer (Ducati 996 - red, of course), George Galdin (BMW S1000XR HP), Peter Gleason (Phil Tainton Racing Suzuki GSXS1000 F) and Sailbad the Sinner (on a George Galdin matching BMW S1000 XR HP).
We left Calder Park pretty much as planned, and Roger led through Kerrie to almost Romsey, then we hooked left to Woodend. We crossed to Tylden where Greg took over to lead us up through central Victoria to coffee at Malmsbury. We then proceeded all the way to Chewton via the old Calder Highway, then down to Vaughan Springs via Irishtown/Fryerstown and all that goes with it, and trust me, there's heaps..... Back to Castlemaine past Yapeen and the impressive Guildford Plateau (which was considered as an air base during World War 2). Lunch in Castlemaine at arms length (amongst 2000 motorcyclists), then Sutton Grange, Redesdale, Mia Mia and the sensational but bumpy Burke & Wills Track to Lancefield!!
Great day out..... Thanks to everyone, especially for letting me off the hook when it was REALLY TOO COLD atop Mt Macedon.....
