The stars and sun aligned. I popped a notice on the website two days in advance, also used my grapevine and 5 other members joined me at Lilydale for a midweek ride. The riders were a diverse bunch with 3 from Yarra Ranges Shire, 1 from Templestowe area and 2 from bay side. The bikes were equally diverse with 2 new "boxers", three very different V twins and my teenage shaft drive V Four. First let me thank Geoff Wiliams (who was the Ulysses Club liaison person with Vic Roads for this scheme) for the years of work he has put into making this scheme available to members.

One of the many things I love about the Ulysses Club is the wonderful variety of people I have met over the years. They also ride a wonderful variety of bikes.
What can I say?
For two years running we had a combination of extreme heat and some rain. Hang on, that sounds typical of a Victorian summer day come to think of it.
