Joining Facebook and accessing Melbourne branch page

Submitted by Rickjr on Sun, 06/10/2019 - 9:37am

Hi all,

The Melbourne branch facebook page is up and running and is being well utilised for sharing photos, stories, last minute rides etc. We also issue reminders about rides and events that are coming up.

We have the website which is great for posting lots of photos, information and calendar but Facebook allows us instant communication with members who get notified about any of our posts. So we encourage all members to join Facebook.

Have you always wanted a great photo of yourself on your bike as you carve up a corner? Then read on.

Both Greg and myself are both keen amateur photographers and are looking at easing the burden on John Cook who does most of the branch ride photographs.

Branch equipment bits and pieces

Submitted by Rickjr on Wed, 03/07/2019 - 9:34am

At the branch's last committee meeting it was decided that the branch try and locate all those , 'Bits n' pieces,' flags, memorabilia,

vests, BBQ stuff and start an inventory of what the branch has and where it is. So, if you have some branch gear that ended up at your place

and you want to get rid of it, or, let the branch know it's there, give one of the committee a call.

Treasurer Rick Rycken is handling the inventory list so any questions please contact Rick.

Lilydale to Licola via Yea

Submitted by Rickjr on Sun, 28/04/2019 - 7:07pm

Well I was looking forward to Andrew's ride to Licola. Hadn't been up that way in a long time. Jane Bunn said the weather on Sunday would be cool but pleasant with a chance of a early light shower less than a millimetre. Saturday arvo checked the tiger over, lubed the chain and filled up the tank in readiness for a early departure Sunday morning.
