A Little Relaxation

Isn't it welcome news Sailbad that you can now take your kayak, stand up board etc out. Rowing is also allowed so presumably I can take my Mirror out minus its mast and sails and go for a row. I finished its renovation just before lockdown and didn't get to sail it! Not sure what difference it would make if I sailed it but I think given the current circumstances, one should be thankful for small mercies! I agree with Sam's feeling on the golf ban, but think his protest was most inappropriate - it's just not the time to be promoting disunity.

Wisdom Beyond Your Years, Sir!!

Agree fully - ours is not to change the face of history...

We did a 7.5km round trip today, Sandy YC to Black Rock YC and return!!  Nice walk spoiled by morons that believe they're above the law.  Most don't care about others - distancing?  what's that?

I understand that my 3 person boat clearly breaks the "no fraternisation" rules....  But I can't sail on my own?  I can't ride a motorcycle on my own? But if I had a Stand Up Paddleboard or I was kite surfing.....  We had swimmers and paddlers proliferating at closed beaches and all under the watchful eye of VicPol's Air 395 helicopter!!

Governmental stupidity - silly, childish guess-rules made up on the run......For Hell's sake, Daniella Andrews, make some comprehensive rulings........  This is too stupid for words.......
Grrrrrr!!!

Be Patient Young Fella

Let's be honest.   No person makes the perfect decision every time.
Personally I believe the health officers and political leaders in both Australia and New Zealand have done a damn good job overall.  yes  I believe we have not been quite as restricted as NZ?
Kris was speaking her brother living in the Cayman Islands and they're only allowed out for exercise on alternate days and not at all on Sundays!  It is a country with extremely limited health system reserves, but,...
I also know I'd much rather be living here in Australasia than in either the UK or USA for example.
Victoria's and Australia's figures were again very good this morning.  The Premier spoke well about a national meeting tomorrow with the hope that some measured relaxation of rules can commence in the very near future. yes
Clearly it will be a very very long time before what any of us think is normality enlightened
Let's get this right and stay safe and healthy cool

Change may be Coming
  • The ABC has reported that Queensland is tinkering with and relaxing travel restrictions as of Friday night enlightened
  • With some luck  (and a continued decline in Covid 19 infections) we may see a relaxation of Stay at Home Rules in the near future here in Victoria too?
  • No doubt there will still be social distancing directives but hopefully we can soon plan our first Four Start Point Ridesmiley

We do not anticipate "normal" branch rides for some yet.

We will probably start a new information post once we know more
