Plans are now well underway for the Grampians "RIDE TO REMEMBER” to be held on Sunday 7th February, 2016.
The event, hosted by the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation – Ararat Branch and organized by a Sub Committee including local enthusiastic motorcyclists working closely with Victoria Police from the Northern Grampians Region, is expected to attract over 350 riders and pillions.

The 2016 Ride will start from Ararat at 9am and travel through the rural countryside to the fringes of the magnificent Grampians National Park including the townships of Moyston, Pomonal to Halls Gap for morning tea (45minutes). The Ride then travels through the Grampians National Park to Yarram Gap Rd then onto Willaura and back via Moyston to Ararat for a relaxing BBQ in the Alexandra Gardens.

Again the Grampians "RIDE TO REMEMBER” has attracted major sponsors including Shannon's Insurance, Wimmera Motorcycle Co, ACE Radio, Melbourne Parkview Hotel, Ord's Motorcycles – Ararat and Clayfield Wines which has assisted the organisers in being able to present a signature event, including the popular Show N Shine.

Sub Committee Chairman, Phil Clark said: "The Grampians "RIDE TO REMEMBER” has certainly grown to a major event and is now attracting motorcycle enthusiasts from far and wide. We have a dedicated Committee including many acting as volunteer marshalls on the day and importantly we are working closely with Victoria Police, especially our Northern Grampians Region representatives to create an enjoyable and safe ride that will again take in the Grampians National Park. Importantly the Ride will support the Ararat Branch of the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation and honour the memory of Victoria Police killed in the line of duty.”

All proceeds from the 2016 Ride will go towards the Ararat Branches current project to raise $150,000 for the 'Jason Bond' Perioperative Unit at East Grampians Health Service (Ararat Hospital) which includes the redesign and refurbishment of the Theatre Recovery and Day Procedure areas to improve workflow for the increasing number of day stay patients.

Registration:$30 for Riders and Pillions and includes a complimentary BBQ Luncheon Pass, Show-bag with a Commemorative 2016 GRAMPIANS "RIDE TO REMEMBER” Badge and complimentary bottled water which will be handed out following the event.
