The 18th annual Melbourne Branch Odyssey will be held at Nagambie Lakes Leisure Park which is beautifully located between the Goulburn River and Lake Nagambie.   Nearby attractions include a variety of wineries, museums and merchants plus a good variety of roads for weekend rides.

Accommodation available includes a variety of cabins which sleep from 2 to 8 people, a 12 person bunkhouse with 2 rooms of 6 bunks each plus powered large campsites on which it would be feasible to set up several tents to enhance camaraderie.

Registration fee of $55 per person includes badge (for first 60) and Saturday night dinner with live entertainment at the on site function centre.

We will also have a casual BYO BBQ on the Friday night and an organised ride on the Saturday starting from outside venue at 10.00 am.  Please have your tanks full.

For anyone interested, I will be leading a ride to the Odyssey from the Olinda Creek Hotel in Lilydale (our normal start point) at 10.00 am on Friday 7 October 2016.   I intend to vary the route this year and stop at Broadford for morning tea so those coming from the north can meet us there if they wish.

If you intend to come on this ride please let me know so that I don't leave without you.  John Cook 0419 599 530, (03) 97285769 or

I am getting a steady stream of registrations.

To confirm the accommodation you want, it would be wise to contact the Nagambie  Lakes Resort and book your accommodation.

It would else help me greatly if you register with me and let me know how many people you are bringing with you laughwinkenlightened

After hearing rumours that accommodation was booked out, I rang the resort today and confirmed that campsites and some cabins are still available.

It is now only 6 weeks away.   So if you intend to come, ring them and book your accommodation.  It is not a long weekend and you can bring pets cool

If you have already booked accommodation please let me know so that I can plan for catering needs.

If you have a spare room in a cabin which you may wish to share, it would also be great if you let me know. enlightened

Not long to go now so get your bookings and registrations in ASAP

For information - One male member has a cabin booked which has a queen bed plus some bunks.  He would be quite happy to split costs.  So if a couple want a queen bed or a couple of people want bunks please let me know and I'll put you in contact with each other enlightened

The above comments explain it  all.  I really need final numbers by the end of this weekend for catering.

If you've never been. give it some thought.
