After the late withdrawal of Steve with a bad case of Bali belly, Pat Ryan took over ride leader duties.
A dozen bikes assembled at Lilydale on a clear cold Sunday morning for a ride out to Mansfield.
Down to Yarra Glen and onto Break O Day road and stopping in Yea for morning tea.
After a short break headed up Ghin Ghin Rd, Highlands Rd and Caveat Dropmore Rd. Around here a number of riders parted ways heading to Yarck for an early lunch and trip home. 6 riders continued onto Mansfield for lunch.
Although it was a fine day, my temperature gauge didn't get over 10.5 for the whole day, and spent most of it around 8 degrees. Glad I had the heated vest on.
On the way home I explored some new roads, including Maintongoon Rd which runs along the shoreline of Lake Eildon out of Bonnie Doon before turning into a dirt road (and with an adventure bike you just keep going!) and meets up with Skyline Rd (more dirt) with some great views down to Lake Eildon.
Thanks Pat for leading a fun ride
