As we were in town during our trip, I made contact and we called in and met with a group of Fremantle Branch members during their Saturday morning get together by the port.  We were made very welcome and enjoyed a chat in sunny conditions overlooking the busy port.  smileycool

"Greg's Ride"

Submitted by rogerfoot1 on Thu, 02/05/2019 - 3:19pm

Sadly Greg was indisposed for his scheduled Kalkallo -Bacchus Marsh ride on April 21st, something about a pulled hammy while attempting to catch a falling Hayabusa. However there was a good turn out, the weather was fine and a good time was had by all. We followed Greg's route (see his earlier post) at an especially gentle pace as it was Easter Sunday, but I elected to not take the Glenmore Road from Ballan to Bacchus Marsh as I hadn't ridden that way for a couple of years and didn't know the road condition.

Jane Bunn said the weather on Sunday would be cool but pleasant with a chance of a early light shower less than a millimetre. Saturday arvo checked the tiger over, lubed the chain and filled up the tank in readiness for a early departure Sunday morning.
