Bryant “Adler” Davies, Ulysses # 59
24/12/22 – 21/11/10
The Melbourne Branch, Elizabeth Street Group mourned the loss of one of its founding members when Bryant Davies aka “Adler”, member number 59, passed away on November 21, 2010. For at least the last 15 years Adler was a regular member of the groups Elizabeth Street meeting, every Saturday morning. While it was some considerable time since he last appeared on his beloved Kawasaki bike, he along with his walking frame was a regular for at least the last 10 years.
or Auxiliary Power Outlet Installation
On our recent “Last 4 days of Winter” trip Neville Large lost part of the bodywork from his newly acquired Suzuki Bergman 650 executive. He had plugged the power supply of his GPS into the power outlet in the left hand glove box – the GPS worked a treat – but the power supply made it impossible to close the glove box. So he rode with the glove box lid open. And he suffered the consequences!
Early March, 2010 my mate, Nev and I set off on our Weestroms (Suzuki DL650A motor cycles), his a K7 and mine a K9, travelling from Melbourne, Victoria to Albany, Western Australia for the Ulysses Club 2010 Annual General Meeting. representing those Ulyssians who meet regularly in Elizabeth St every Saturday morning.
Idea's and Planning
One early August 2010 Saturday morning over hot, fresh coffee and crisp toasted egg and bacon sandwiches some of the Melbourne group who regularly meet in Elizabeth Street got to thinking about their next adventure. Dates were selected and a route was roughed out on a paper napkin.
Melbourne to .........Melbourne! Its the via that made it interesting.
