Was it the feeling that I never quite got my chain alignment right, or the recent phenomena where right handers suddenly seemed easier than the left, or was it the was boredom of the lock down? Probably the later but the magnetic, chain alignment tool, promising laser precision, was too irresistible. A pocket sized gadget I had to have.
With the support of our commercial providers - Mansfield Holiday Park, Mansfield Golf Club and Dennis Tucker entertainment we have kept our bookings open in the hope that this years Odyssey might be able to be run. However it has now become clear that this is unreasonably optimistic and the clearing of the Covid19 pandemic is too slow to allow this event to go ahead.
So the Melbourne Branch Odyssey for 2020 is cancelled.

While doing some COVID cleaning etc I came across the very first Riding On magazine sent to me after I joined the club over 27 years ago
The cover was a photo supplied by Peter Thoeming (the Bear) of a Triumph Trophy (at the time Triumph was reemerging) with a baguette on the back during a test ride in France I believe. Haven't Triumph kicked on since then?
