2017 AGM Journey

I had planned a four day circuitous ride which involved visiting friends in Wodonga, Sydney and Nowendoc before arriving at Wauchope around noon on Monday, 22 May.  Put plainly, the weather forecasts for the Friday and Saturday were simply ghastly, so I simplified my plan.  I left Montrose mid afternoon on the Friday and got some light drizzle as I rode the Black Spur

Ride Report – 2017 Ulysses Melbourne Ice Run

“Talisker” - (from the Scottish)  - land of the wooded cliff and sloping hills, the secluded isle, the captivating land mass that becomes the navigator’s beacon”.

Thus begins this tale……

“ Master Helmsman, how shall we navigate?  Where lieth the Talisker?”  “Captain, I know of not, for she be veiled in a cloak of fog….”

10 Melbourne Branch Odyssey at Nagambie 7 - 9 October 2016

After much planning and anticipation the day finally arrived.  We were blessed with good riding weather and a small group met Kris and me at Lilydale for the ride up to the Odyssey at Nagambie.   We headed north up the tree lined Castella Street past the old theatre, made our way past Yarra Glen and on up the Melba
