This is a ride album so feel free to add your photos from the AGM.

First 40 are my photos from the recent Riverlands AGM held near Barmera South Australia.

A brief overview of our trip

Brian and I left his place on a cold, wet and windy Friday morning hoping to get to Nhill by late afternoon. Brian's route included many back roads once we cleared the city. At Loxton the heavens opened up with a massive downpour but luckily we had taken shelter. Through to Ararat, Halls Gap and rode the wonderful winding road to Zumsteins before getting to Horsham and then Nhill just on 5pm.

Saturday Brian had us on dirt roads including some of the Border track. Got to the Barmera field day site just after midday, settled into our accommodation in tent city and attended induction.

The next few days we assisted with setting up.

On Tuesday, we joined the off road escorted ride with the ride leader (who was on a Yamaha WR 250) advising the ride was suitable for bigger adventure bikes. Unfortunately the deep sand with challenging hills soon had 4 of the 5 bigger bikes all taking a rest (Brian managed the sand quite well on his GS1200) whilst the others on lighter bikes skipped across the sand at a great rate of knots. After a few hours we managed to get to the morning tea stop and the 5 of us on bigger bikes parted ways and headed for the Overland Corner hotel for lunch.

The rest of the week was busy doing more volunteer work, shadowing our portfolio managers, manning the 2019 rally stand, etc.

Both the Wednesday and Saturday dinners were well attended and had hot yummy food. Saturday night over 1,000 were served their dinner in just under 45 minutes - great effort for the ushers and cooks!

Saturday we had the grand parade from Barmera to Renmark - about 30 kilometres.

After helping to packup the site, attending the volunteers lunch, we started to head home Sunday afternoon, stopping overnight in Nhill again (thanks Mrs Lacey!) before reaching home midday Monday. So away for 11 days, just over 2,000 Klm done.

Hope to see you all next year at the first ever Ulysses National Rally at Mornington Victoria.
