Colin's Version First
With the prospect of a warm and sunny day, some 20 odd riders gathered at the Lilydale start location.
It seemed as though all bike types were represented; notably the BMW GSA contingent, with Sam arriving on his 2 day old bike, as the tail rider.
After assuring photographer John that the contingent would pass via Powelltown, ride leader Colin promptly asked the GPS for guidance and the group departed.
With hindsight there were 2 GPS loaded routes and consequently John waited in vain for photographs, finally catching up at Drouin. At Drouin, a few South Gippsland members joined, including Alf and has newish KTM.
After some confusion as to the direction leaving Drouin, a course was struck for Korumburra where that glorious stretch of road prior was thoroughly enjoyed.
First, many thanks Colin for leading your first ride and congratulations on showing us some great roads and scenery plus meeting up with the South Gippsland Branch.
It was great to see so many people out to enjoy themselves and support him.
That road from Warragul to Korumburra still provides some stunning views and enjoyment despite the increasing number of bumps and varying speed limits.
(Ian and Jeff's very different GS BMWs provide quite a contrast at Korumburra)
Thanks Colin, Samuel (TEC) and all who came along and made it a great day

- I didn't wait in Vain, I waited in Three Bridges and I did see some nice bikes go past - got all excited.. but.. ohn
