Grantville Ride, Sunday 27 November 2022

Submitted by John_Cook on Wed, 30/11/2022 - 7:24pm

Over a dozen people were silly enough to join me on Sunday for the ride from Lilydale through South Gippsland to Grantville and the weather generally behaved.

New member John joined us on his Harley and was made welcome by all.  Tez and Shamus formed a father and son team and again we had a great variety of both people and bikes.

The Pre Summer NSW High Country Ride

Barry, Graham, Ian and I decided to head out on a mid-week late spring ride to explore a bit of the South Gippsland Coast and the NSW high country while it wasn’t too hot.
We set off on Monday 14 November and it certainly wasn’t too hot!

Portarlington Ride 23 October 2022

Submitted by John_Cook on Mon, 24/10/2022 - 2:31pm

I will start by discussing the great variety of bikes and people.  We had four very different Triumphs – a Rocket, a Bonneville, a Tiger and a Sprint ridden by Dave, Libby, Vince and Steve C.

BMWs were ridden by Colin, Gary, Jeff and Ray who joined us at the last minute for his first ever ride with the Ulysses Club.  The three Hondas were ridden by Bill, Marty and me.   Steve B brought his Suzuki V Strom along for the outing.

The 22nd Melbourne Branch Odyssey 2022

Submitted by John_Cook on Mon, 17/10/2022 - 4:33pm

When looking back at the past couple of years, it is timely to remember that the main stated aim of the Ulysses Club is: “To provide ways in which older motorcyclists can get together for companionship and mutual support.”
Attending the 22nd Melbourne Branch Odyssey at Mansfield provided exactly that sort of camaraderie and I enjoyed it with over 30 others.
