First the plan is to explore some farm country south of Officer and then cut across to Mornington and ride the Esplanade from Mornington to Dromana while it is not too busy and stop for a rest break at Arthurs Seat  after about 80 km.

After that we will explore a bit of the peninsula and plan to stop at Coolart  Wetlands and Homestead for for a picnic / BBQ lunch.
NB No food services at the lunch destination.

Why not invite some extra family members to come along and enjoy a BBQ lunch?    

There are good picnic, BBQ & toilet facilities there but bring your own supplies for lunch as there are no shops at destination.

It has been over 3 years since I did a ride to Portarlington so I intend to check the route out tomorrow. 
After that I intend to return to the Mornington Peninsula on the Queenscliff / Sorrento Ferry.

A relaxed cruise out around the Wimmera/Mallee area to the northwest of Melbourne to follow the Silo Art tour, and back east to pick up some Silo Art north of Melbourne.
A rerun of a trip done in July 2021, hopefully the weather is warming up a bit in September, and dry.
Typically 350-450kms per day, come for all or part of the trip.
Leaving 9:00am from Ardeer meet point.

Wednesday:   Dimboola to Sea Lake via Hopetoun
Thursday:      Sea Lake to Echuca via Wycheproof
Friday:           Echuca to Melbourne via Shepparton

Wall to Wall Ride -
The Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance is run in September each year in the lead up to National Police Remembrance Day to remember and honour our fallen colleagues, to raise funds for police-related charities and to promote safe and lawful motorcycling.
Groups of riders will depart from every capital city coming together in Canberra to ride as one group to the National Police Memorial for a ceremony honouring our fallen.
Register as a rider or pillion passenger and ride from your home State to Canberra, or ride in your own jurisdiction / state simultaneously. -
An $85.00 registration fee will apply to each participant. A minimum of $50.00 from your fee will be donated to your nominated Police Legacy.
Any surplus after operating costs also goes to Police Legacies.

0800    Depart Melbourne Memorial – under Police Escort       * Times are approx. – the sooner we leave scheduled stops the earlier we reach Merimbula *
The ride will continue to Alexander Parade making its way to the Monash Freeway. (Tolls are applicable).  Then following the Monash Freeway to the Princes Highway.
1040    Sale     2.5 hrs – 215Km. Fuel & rest stop. Snacks and coffee available
1120    Depart   Sale on the Princess Highway to Stratford and Bairnsdale then on the Lakes Entrance where we will have a lunch and fuel break on the foreshore.  A bbq lunch will be available to purchase.
1245    Lakes Entrance Foreshore on right. 1hr 20min – 100 Km Fuel & Lunch
1345    Depart   Ride continues on the Princes Highway past Orbost and on to Cann River for a short rest break and fuel where required.

Due to the recent wet weather, the Central Vic Branch Golden Dragon Rally IS CHANGING LOCATION. It will now be held back at the Tarnagulla Historic Reserve in Tarnagulla.
PLEASE NOTE that this is still a Back to Basics event. Due to required works on the toilets and showers at the reserve these will not be available. Portable toilets will be provided.
You will also still need to provide your own food as catering is NOT available. BBQs will be available.
Shop and pub are in walking distance.

Andrew will lead us east from Lilydale out through Noojee to Willow Grove for morning tea. Then on the scenic ride towards the Latrobe Valley, before the winding roads into the old gold mining town of Walhalla.
A medium length ride (about 160kms, Lilydale to Walhalla) but takes a bit longer than some due to slower roads in places.
