Departs Lilydale.  Ride Leader John Cook 0419 599 530.
My rough plan is to explore  the area behind (east of) The Dandenong Ranges and stop at Jingellic (EDIT - Thanks Greg - Jindevick) for morning tea.
Further EDIT 18 Feb.  - morning tea stop now planned for Longwarry.    Weather forecast is Fine and Sunny laughyes
After that I plan to wend our way to Yarragon and continue about 9 km up into the hills behind Yarragon and then simply stop to enjoy the views for a few minutes before riding back down to Yarragon for lunch.  The roads up there are very tight and scenic.smiley  I checked them out earlier this week and I actually plan to do a U turn cheekywink
Plenty of lunch options in Yarragon    enlightened
After lunch I am happy to escort anyone interested as far back The Basin via some different roads through The Dandenong Ranges.

"My rough plan is to explore  the area behind (east of) The Dandenong Ranges and stop at Jingellic for morning tea."
I looked up Jingellic and the result was "Jingellic is a small town that straddles the boundaries of the Greater Hume Shire and Snowy Valleys Council local government areas in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales, Australia. The town is located near a crossing on the upper Murray River"
Did you mean Jindivick?

Jingellic is a lovely spot, particularly for lunch during Autumn, buy a pie & drink from the general store and sit over the road at the football oval.  I passed through there many times on my tooing & froing to Canberra.

Jindivick ought to be equally as pleasing, no oval but there does appear to be an antiques shop to browse.

OK, OK!  Jindevick is what I meant blushsurprise
Please,  please don't tell anyone I was geographically misplaced / challenged  yesterday (not) near Yinar & Loy Yang while trying to avoid the highway between Mirboo North and Sale crying.  I did find  a grandson in the end and forgot to leave him in Sale winkcheeky
Timmsy - That was a whoops!  But Jingellic does get visited from time to time wink  There is an oval in Jindevick too cheeky

After doing some reconnaissance today (thanks Brian - you made that easy) and discussion with others, I have decided to stop at the service centre near Longwarry North for morning tea.  I still intend to visit Jindevick during the ride and if timing permits throw in a couple more photo stops than normal.   Still plan to explore orchards, farms and some very tall trees via the Dandenongs on a slowish ride out from Lilydale enlightened
