When was the Melbourne Branch formed...
The Melbourne Branch of the Ulysses Club was formed in 1984 and since its inception has grown from a small group to one of the largest in the National Ulysses Club. As with all branches, its growth and strength is directly due to the commitment of its members and both present and past committees.
When do we ride...
Our Branch rides on most Sundays of the year and in addition has weekend trips away. All members of the Ulysses Club and their family and friends are welcome to join in on our rides and social activities. Our Club is for the social enjoyment of older motorcyclists who enjoy riding, whether it be touring or just a Sunday ride. Visit our Ride Calendar for the latest information on our rides and activities.
Friday Night Socials...
Regular social nights were held on the third Friday of each month at the East Malvern RSL where members got together in an informal atmosphere and enjoy one-another's company.
UPDATE 11 December 2019. The East Malvern RSL has now closed. Venue for 2020 still to be decided.
Saturday Morning Coffee
Each Saturday members of the branch meet at Melbourne Bakehouse, 210 Bay Street, Port Melbourne from 9am for coffee and/or breakfast and a chat. Alternatively some members still meet in the traditional heart of Melbourne Motorcycling - Elizabeth Street.

Branch shirts and name badges can be arranged via the branch secretary. Updated 11 December 2019. Further review required
Each Spring the branch conducts our very own 'Annual Odyssey'. The event was usually held in the picturesque Central Victorian town of Mansfield which has excellent day rides to the nearby Snow Fields at Mt Buller and the world class wine regions of the King Valley. After many years, in 2012 we moved the Odyssey to Nagambie to provide a fresh venue and alternative attractions.
Updated 11 December 2019. In 2019 we moved back to Mansfield and it was a very successful Event. Further Update Required
Very Special Kids day...
For many years the branch also supported the Very Special Kids program by sponsoring a special day each year at the Cardinia Dam where kids who suffer from a life threatening illness were given a chance to enjoy the thrill of motorcycling. UPDATE 2019. This event was discontinued in 2018 due to a whole variety of logistical issues and is still under review.
