John is comfortable today, & they are going to do a procedure tomorrow morning under general anesthetic for a look to make sure he doesn't have any clots in his heart as it is still irregular. He doesn't want phone calls yet but he said he would be ok with short visits. xx marg
John had a defibrillation Thursday which shocked his heart into normal rhythm. Yesterday he had a plasma drip & oxygen & then they removed the wires into his heart. He is now stabilised and doing well. Getting up and walking around and in good spirits. We were told he may be able to come home today if he tests ok this morning.
Again thanks for keeping us informed in a time when you'd be very focused on John etc.. it's great news. I look forward to seeing you both when John is feeling better. Regards Holly
Hi everyone - home, and I feel good (sort of).
It is hard to put into words my experiences and feelings over the last ten days, but I am truly gratified by all your messages of support. Each day Marg would come in and tell me of the latest emails and calls - they really lifted my spirits. And what a magnificent job she did, sitting with electronic gear, sending out updates, helping the nurses, drinking my apple juice (which the dietician said I shouldn't have), then driving home in the dark to a hungry dog.
I would love to catch up with anyone coming down this way after the weekend, but ring first as I have continuing blood tests and other annoying stuff. ph 97742948.
