Way back in January 2007 a small group of Ulysses members in NSW started meeting for breakfast on the first Sunday of each month and this “morphed “ into the Brooklyn Breakfast Club (BBC) and it’s 10th Anniversary is coming up shortly.
In December 2013, Victorian member, Dean Wells proposed a Beaumaris Breakfast Club and the first meeting was held in January 2014. This “morphed” into the Victoria Breakfast Club (VBC) and meetings have been held regularly ever since on the second Saturday of each month with members travelling from as far afield as Echuca and The Grampians. The meetings have been steadily growing in numbers and been held as far afield as Yea, Seymour, Heathcote, Nagambie, Castlemaine, Malmsbury, Ararat, Geelong, Blackwood, Trentham, Meredith, Kialla, Maldon, Newstead, Rokewood, Harcourt, Bridgewater, Avoca, Eddington, Ballarat, Charlton, Maryborough, Stawell, Mildura, Bacchus Marsh, Rushworth and Halls Gap with several locations being visited more than once.
The December 2016 VBC is pencilled in for Echuca.
Much of the success of this is down to Paul Butler (Olfrt) of Echuca who is regularly accompanied by a number of members from his region. A group from Stawell are also very regular attendees and it has grown steadily with numbers reaching 50 attendees on occasions. It is a great example of Ulysses camaraderie based around very informal mateship and all Ulysses members are welcome.
The November VBC was held at Antique Motorcycles in Cheltenham on 12 November 2016 and was another great day. I will attach some photos.

If you’ve never been to a VBC give it a go. Both “Gentle” of Geelong and Perry Stephens generally publicise the locations in their regular newsletters.

The VBC Meeting this month (this week) will be at Caffe Evviva in the Stockland Shopping Centre, Traralgon.
Depending on circumstances, those of us riding to Bombala may well call in to say hello to members from other branches
VBC Meeting at Great Western on 13 May 2017
The next VBC will be at Salingers Cafe at Great Western on Saturday 13 May 0930 onwards. It's a small town halfway between Ararat and Stawell.
If people want to head down the day or afternoon before, we have an offer of a 'sleepover' at a fantastic shed, or if there is a big turnup, we can camp at the local gun club, (only need a sleeping bag and blanket there). It is a huge building with its own kitchen facilities.
