Ulysses Melbourne

I was very happy to see Les Bennett, the branch archivist from back in the 80s waiting at Lilydale to join the ride when I arrived this morning. 

As a contrast we also had brand new member Doug along for his second ride with us and it was great to see so many people out to join a ride which had been posted at very short notice.
 

The Trip
For the start of summer, a group of us headed off to enjoy some riding before things got too busy.
Things often don’t go to plan and this trip certainly confirmed that while we had an eventful few days exploring some of Western Victoria. 
Twenty members associated with Melbourne Branch took part and several members from the Grampians Branch joined in on different days too.

Over a dozen people were silly enough to join me on Sunday for the ride from Lilydale through South Gippsland to Grantville and the weather generally behaved.

New member John joined us on his Harley and was made welcome by all.  Tez and Shamus formed a father and son team and again we had a great variety of both people and bikes. 

 
Barry, Graham, Ian and I decided to head out on a mid-week late spring ride to explore a bit of the South Gippsland Coast and the NSW high country while it wasn’t too hot. 
We set off on Monday 14 November and it certainly wasn’t too hot!
