Put this date in your diary. Lots of detail still to come.
Update received 24 August 2022
The Rally will run for 7 days from Monday 1st May through to Sunday 7th May, in the Northern Rivers area of N.S.W. The National Rally organising team is planning to have a variety of activities including Dinners, Entertainment, organised rides, and the Annual General Meeting and Extended National Committee Meeting will be held as well.
The event site is located on 26 acres and nestled amongst the hills of North Lismore and only a short distance of 3klms from the Central Business Area.
Lismore is located 45klms inland from Byron Bay and approximately 200klms south of Brisbane. It is easily accessible by road, plane, coach or train.
Airports servicing the area are located at Lismore, Ballina and the Gold Coast.
All campers including RVs will be accommodated onsite with plenty of space to offer. There are also plenty of options and diversity for those members who require hard bed accommodation throughout the area.
The staff at the Lismore Visitors Centre will be more than happy to assist you. Please contact them on (02) 6626 0100or checkout the website www.visitlismore.com.au
We are all looking forward to seeing you in the beautiful area of the Northern Rivers of NSW.
Let’s get behind the Lismore Organising Committee community that has suffered so much in recent years with the floods and show them what a wonderful organisation we are!
They've had a tough time up there and Natcom recently sent this communication out:
Firstly we would like to say thank you to all those who have sent us messages, phone calls, well wishes and visits over the past few months checking in on us all here on the Northern Rivers.
There have been no words to describe what our community has been through and still going through but we are all strong and continuing to move forward as slow and steady as it is. It is hard to believe it is now almost four months since tragedy hit our doorsteps with rising waters that we have never seen before.
Simple things that we all take for granted have not been with us but life is returning and the heart of Lismore is still beating although maybe a little slower than normal. We have seen businesses slowly reopening and the big step will be in a few weeks when one of the major shopping centres will be slowly opening again.
What is important to us all now is to get back on track and welcome you all to this strong and resilient community next year.
The positives for all our 2023 Ulysses Club National Rally Participants is that every bed in town is new. Pillows will be fresh and smiles will be on our faces seeing you all here in 2023.
So please save those dates of the 1st - 7th May 2023.
The organising committee have had to take a reset but we are now moving forward and will keep you updated on a regular basis as to where things are up to. From that point of view the showground has upgraded a number of the toilet and shower facilities, new power poles and electricity boxes have been installed and there are a number of plans in place to reseal roads and update pavilion areas.
Lismore City Council have been nothing but supportive and we can not thank them enough for there continued support since the inception of bringing you all to Lismore.
Please know that your attendance at the 2023 Ulysses Club National Rally in Lismore is going to bring hope and life back into our city. This event means a lot to our community as it will be a sign that everything is as it should be.
